Arden Edwards M.D., F.A.A.D. was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, and raised in Huntington, West Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree in English at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, graduating with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  It was here that she learned cura personalis: to care for the whole person.  

After graduation from medical school, Dr. Edwards completed a residency in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine at the joint Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center programs. This dual training gave her a deeper understanding of why skin disease occurs and how best to treat it.  During her residency, Dr. Edwards treated patients at numerous hospitals including Georgetown University Hospital, Washington Hospital Center, Children's National Medical Center, the National Rehabilitation Hospital, and the National Institutes of Health giving her a wide breadth of experience.

Dr. Edwards is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.  She has published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
